Splinterlands - A hype is building around the upcoming Rebellion edition cardset

What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also waiting for the weekend to kick in. But for those who play this game seriously, the next 3 days will be pretty important and hectic because that’s what is left for this ongoing ranked season to meet its end. So all the splinterlands players across the world are right now playing with their best to reach their goals where some are trying to reach their goal league and some are trying to secure a place in their league leaderboard. Well, the situation is quite the same for me at this time and after 2 days of insane battling in the top most league in this game, I finally reached the second top most tier Champ II today and sitting with a current trophy count of 4,335. As many of you, I am also trying to secure and hold a sweet spot in the champ lb and right now trying to fight my way to the top 10 and if I achieve that somehow luckily, I will get rewarded with an amazing 60k DEC as lb prize. With the current price of DEC which recently experienced a massive growth and is being traded at around 0.00088$ per unit right now, getting a good amount of DEC really will put a smile on my face and also covers up my renting costs for this season. I had some DEC stacked with me prior to this huge pump and as I gladly didn't sold them, I used a portion of it to rent literally almost all the missing cards in my collection to play competitively in this season in modern format. After playing extensively for the last 2 days, I have dried down my ECR down to 0 today but sadly I still haven't achieved my goal. The person right now at ranked 10 is with 4362 trophies, so I will anyhow need to gather another 29 more trophies to reach the top 10, but every win in ranked is only been giving me 3 trophies while one loss and I will be down by another 33 trophies and probably out of the whole lb as well. So I have to be very careful of my actions and I may also decide not to play anymore and be happy with the 40k dec reward I am currently holding.

On the other hand, a big hype is building around the upcoming Rebellion core edition card-set that is about to get released and added in the modern format very soon. If you look at the Shop page currently, the page was upgraded yesterday where they have removed the old Chaos Legion sale stats and added a brand new theme showing a countdown timer for the upcoming Pre-sale of the Rebellion edition packs which is about to launch after around 5 days and 21 hours. During the pre-sale, a total of 500k packs will be listed for the sale and this sale will last for 30 days or when all those packs gets sold out. Any amount that remains after 30 days will get burned and after some time, normal pack sales will begin where another 9 million packs will get listed for sale. During the normal sale, every day if less than 25k packs gets sold, 90% of the remaining packs will also get burned and rest 10% will go to DAO for future use (maybe get distributed in reward chests) and I really liked this new way of pack sale and pretty positive that this steps will help the rebellion cards to hold its price unlike what we saw with the previous chaos legion edition. The normal sale will start from 5th December this year and from the same date, buyers can open their rebellion packs and use in the modern format gameplay. If you don't know, with the release of the rebellion in gameplay, the old untamed + dice cards will get removed from the modern ranked format and can only be used in wild format, which may be the reason of why those 2 edition cards are losing their value in the market right now, because many people are selling their cards and collecting money to buy the new edition packs.

Okay, so now moving on let us start talking about the upcoming rebellion card-set which is the talk of the town right now and unlike all those old edition cards, this upcoming one has many new characteristics added to them which I believe will change the way we play the game currently. First of all, 4 new abilities are getting introduced with this upcoming card-set - Armored Strike, Corrosive Ward, Flank and Lookout and some of the summoners are going to be multi-element summoners, which means while using those summoners you can choose cards from 2 different splinters in a same match and create your lineup. Last but not least, another great feature that is about to get added to the gameplay with this upcoming card-set is summoner tactics, with which we will get 2 different sets of buffs or debuffs that we have to choose after submitting the lineup and as they have stated in the rebellion related post, most of the rebellion summoners will have this mechanism injected in them and no doubt, this new mechanism will change the game playing experience to a whole new and ground-breaking level. So, a lot of exciting things are about to happen in the lands of Splinter soon and I hope all of you have buckled up already and are all ready to experience the upcoming rebel storm.
