Patch and I are extremely proud to present a project that we have been working on diligently for the last few weeks.

This project is the Gods Unchained Deck Challenge Tournament!

We envision this to be the Inaugural Tournament of many more to come.

Gods Unchained Deck Challenge

The Tournament will take place on December 3rd at 16:00 UTC.

Registration for the Tournament starts today, November 19th. (the registration form can be found at the end of the post)

The Gods Unchained Deck Challenge is a 1-day tournament limited to 32 players. This means that it is first come first serve.

You will get an email response from either of us confirming your place in the tournament, or asking if you would consider being a reserve player for the tournament.

The first two rounds of the Tournament will be best-of-1 matchups, with a time limit of 30 minutes per round. 

The later rounds will be best-of-3 games, with a time limit of 60 minutes per round:

• This means that you will need to prepare 3 decks, using 3 different gods.
• Only one deck per god is allowed.
• After you register, we will provide a Deck List Registration form where you will submit your Deck Lists.
• Deck Lists must be submitted no later than December 1st.

Please note, that no one will be penalized if they exceed the time limit, but please be considerate of the other participants. No one wants to be the one to cause everyone to wait. 

The Rules of Engagement

At the start of each round, each player gets to ban one god from being played by their opponents, after knowing what gods they have decks for.

This means that for the first two rounds each player will have to pick one of two decks to play. 

In the best out of three matchups: If you lose a game, you are no longer permitted to pick that deck for the remaining games in the matchup, and the deck that was victorious will have to be used for the next game.

If you lose a game you will not immediately be eliminated, but you will be placed in the "losers' bracket". This means you are eliminated after two losses.

In each round, new players will enter the losers' bracket and face off against the winners there.

If you manage to climb your way to the top of the losers' bracket, you will face off against the winner of the Main bracket in the Championship.

Please note, that having Discord is required to participate.

We are creating a Discord server for the Tournament, and this is where you will get your Matchups, Challenge Codes, Match Results, FAQ, and more.

Crafting Your Decks

As we want the tournament to be accessible for all players in the Gods Unchained community, we have decided on a somewhat different format than the normal formats you might have seen in other tournaments.

We have decided to put a monetary cap on the value of all three decks.

Think of it like a Salary Cap, which is used by some sports leagues in the USA.

In order for you to have valid decks, the Total value of the all three decks submitted can not exceed $30.

This also means that you can put all your eggs in one deck, hoping it won't get banned, and let it carry you to victory....Or you can try to make 3 balanced decks and be ready for any of your decks being banned. 

We feel that this will allow any player to be able to enter, as well as a fun way to challenge your deckbuilding skills.

Of course, we know that the price of crypto will and can fluctuate and we will take that into account when we look at your Deck Lists.

However, when you are crafting your Decks, we implore you to err on the side of caution, rather than on the side of greed!

Patch and I will not be participating in the Tournament, instead we will act as Judge, Jury, and Executioner on all things relating to the tournament. 

Prizes, what about the Prizes?!

Yes, there will be Prizes for ALL 32 participants!

We have been in talks with the Gods Unchained team and we are extremely happy, and honored, to announce that our Gods Unchained Deck Challenge Tournament is part of the official Community Clash!

The Prizes will be distributed as such:

The Tournament Champion will win an impressive haul of 100 $GODS, 10 Rare Packs, 7 Epic Packs, 4 Legendary Packs, and 1 Shiny Pack!

Regardless of the place you finish, every user who participates in the Tournament will be guaranteed at least 2 Rare packs!
