The constant environmental degradation suffered by the planet has led various sectors of society to raise their voices in search of solutions that allow communities to deal with the problems of garbage, drinking water waste, school care, among others. In this sense, a large part of the responsibility has been given to the training that the school fulfills in the promotion of conservation and environmental behaviors.
Therefore, it is necessary to promote in students the development of respect, values and living in balance with the environment; but these behaviors must transcend outside the institution, towards parents, siblings and neighbors; because it should not remain in the simple knowledge and experience of the classroom; these must be put into practice where communities understand the essentials of a clean and healthy environment; and consequently understand and understand the disadvantages of polluted environments.
In this regard, it should be clarified that in societies a certain sensitivity towards this problem has been observed, but there is also apathy in the practice of cleaning, putting garbage in its place, avoiding the waste of drinking water, the conservation of green areas, among others. For this reason, education is the most indicated so that within its contents, reference is made to environmental objectives where the commitment starts from the teacher and reaches the community in general.
For this purpose, the teacher must be the main promoter of these experiences, through innovative recreational activities and contact with reality, in order to sensitize students to the proper use of resources and care for the environment. Likewise, the teacher must make use of activities for the teaching of environmental education; development of the environmental dimension; and didactic techniques to teach this area.
In this sense, teachers must be updated in terms of strategies and techniques that allow them to solve certain environmental problems; through the use of cartoons, wall newspaper, comics and hobbies that help students to express themselves, as well as to indicate the causes and consequences of the environmental problems that exist around them; hold talks where possible solutions are presented together and teachers can recognize the learning achieved by their students, their love for nature and care for the environment.
