Tipping is a big part of Publish0x and the reason it has seen the popularity it has today.
There are many reasons why this system is good, but there are some small cons which may mean that it needs tweaking. I think tipping overall is a good idea for this platform. This is just me pointing out flaws in the system.
First of all, tipping on the user side, where you can get paid just for reading, means that people may just ignore the article you write and just go to the bottom and tip instantly. This can be annoying if you spend a long time writing an article and almost no one appreciates it or even reads a portion, since they have an incentive to ignore your post and just basically tip themselves. This isn't too bad since the creator still gets a small portion.
There is a bigger issue, and that is the fact that since people always tip, it means that quantity goes over quality, since if you post enough, you will eventually get onto the front page, and then it will just snowball. This means that if you can post anything and get paid. This means that you can go to an AI chatbot and ask it to make an article and then publish it. You can do this multiple times an hour, and that means it dilutes the posts, meaning you will lose out on people actually visiting your article. Not only this, but since it is so diluted, people can just spam upload and profit from front-page space that other users could have earned.
In the end, I believe it is a good system but could get some refining. If it gets refined, it could give human-written articles (like this one) the recognition they deserve.
I know this may be a bit of an ask, but since this article is talking about tipping, I politely ask you to maybe tip a bit more maybe just even 10% more (or even 1%; anything helps, but it would assist me if you can tip me what you can). It costs you nothing and greatly supports my work to keep letting me write (human-written) articles.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a nice day :).
