tl;dr: Green will be the new Green in the 2020s.

I was reading Fred Wilson’s New Year’s Day note, in which we said that he felt climate was going to be this decade’s “cloud computing.”

In other words, it will be huge, both in terms of social impact as well as economic opportunity.

And not a moment too soon, as we all know.

I have only begun recently to explore the world of carbon credits, but it seems like it could be one area for “doing well by doing good.”

Recently, I came in contact with a fascinating project in Brazil, Moss.Earth, which has figured out how to tokenize carbon credits, via blockchain, and to invest in that market through their MCO2 token, obtainable on uniswap (check to make sure you have the correct smart contract address though)

I think we’re going to see a lot of interesting applications of crypto+carbon in the years to come.

They seem built for each other in and, frankly, I don’t think there’s a better way to address it than with crypto assets.

A space to watch, imho.
