Gold

Gold

tl;dr: It’s all about belief and belief builds over time.

I was listening to the radio last night when an ad came on for gold.

It was well done, hitting concerns about inflation, money printing, and preserving wealth and pitched “one of the most secure ways of protecting your wealth that the world has known.”

As soon as the ad began, I knew it was for gold, but as I listened, I realized that, one day, it will be for Bitcoin.

There’s no reason to believe in gold, other than the fact that other people believe in gold. But since enough people believe in gold, then, and yes, I realize it’s kind of circular, then the belief that gold has value becomes a “standard.”

The world is literally watching-in slow motion- the birth of the “digital gold standard.”

It’s not whether you believe in Bitcoin, it’s whether enough other people believe in Bitcoin that matters.

The “Golden Rule” says that we should do unto others as we would wish others do until us.

Perhaps the “Rule of Gold” is that if enough others believe in Gold, then we believe in Gold, too.
