“Jokandan wetland” is a protected area of Lisar and Jokandan along the Caspian sea and one of the rare coastal marine in Guilan province in Iran.
During storms, seawater also seeps into part of the lagoon. The average depth of the wetland is about 0.4 meters. The deepest part is about 0.8 meters and in the shallowest parts is about 0.3 meters.
The water of this wetland is supplied only by three small local rivers and the water of the fields.
The wetland can be reached by coastal routes known only to the locals. The tourism department of the region has recently created a tourist place on this wetland, which, despite its beauty and charm, remains very unknown and even the local people are unaware of its existence.
Unfortunately, there is no sign to guide you on the way and the lack of knowledge of many residents about its existence, (which is sincere believe me) makes it difficult to find it, and even Google Maps is not very helpful in this case!
But if by a miracle you had a chance to find the right road, by crossing a narrow paved road in the middle of a Bazaar area, that leads you through an uneven dirt road to an area where beautiful wooden pavilions are placed and seem to be prepared for tourists.
Right in the same area, a sign called "Jokandan Wetland" can be seen being put very quietly, and a little further on you can see a very interesting and almost 0.5 km long wooden bridge, and by crossing it and passing through a gorgeous and exciting view, you can reach the wetland.
