The Indian grey hornbill is the only hornbill found in Pakistan. This bird is found in Lahore and surrounding areas. As I do birding in Margalla Hills, Islamabad so I am always eager to see this beautiful bird. In March, I visited Lahore for a family trip. During my visit, I visited the Racecourse park and many different places. I hoped to see this bird but could not succeed. On my way back I visited Hiran Minar, Sheikhupura, where I saw this bird for the first time.

These birds live in pairs. I could not notice them but crows were after them. Because of that noise, I could track them. They might have some nest there as Hornbill was also not willing to leave that place. But this territorial fight continued for several minutes and in the end, Hornbill left that place.

This bird's discovery made my day. These birds have also adapted to live in urban areas. Mostly they are found on high trees where they have made nests.
