On the night before Jesus rose from the grave, The world was still, with a hushed wave,

Of silence, as if waiting for the dawn, To bring a new hope, a new life reborn.

The disciples, anxious and afraid, Gathered together, in a somber shade,

Of grief and loss, for their Lord was gone, And they wondered what the future held, with dawn.

Yet in their hearts, a glimmer of hope remained, For they had seen the miracles he had proclaimed,

And knew that his love and light would shine, Even in the darkness of death's confine.

So they waited, with bated breath, For what the next day would bring forth,

For they knew that their Lord would rise, And conquer death with love and sacrifice.

And as the night gave way to morning light, A new hope dawned, shining bright,

For Jesus had risen, just as he said, And the world was forever changed, ahead.

So let us remember the night before, When the disciples waited in faith, not forlorn,

For they knew that love would conquer all, And that with Jesus, we would never fall.
