And though we shared a passing glance, I wish I'd known you in advance.

Your presence, like a fleeting breeze, So quick to come, so quick to leave,

And now, as I stand here, in your wake, I feel a sadness, that's hard to shake.

For though we never shared much time, I feel a void, like a bell that chimes,

A reminder of what could have been, Of all the moments, now left unseen.

And so I grieve, for what was lost, For all the moments, at such a cost,

For the chance to know you, just a bit, To hear your stories, to feel your wit.

But now, all I have is this thought, This memory, of what I sought,

A reminder to cherish those around, To never let a chance go unfound.

For life is fleeting, and time is short, And we never know what fate has brought,

So let us love, and let us live, And to those we cherish, let us give.
