The alarm clock blares, its shrill sound so loud, It's time to wake up, to join the bustling crowd.

But I lay there still, eyes shut tight, The morning struggle, it's a daily fight.

I try to force myself out of bed, But the warmth and comfort keep me instead.

The struggle is real, the struggle is tough, As I fight to get up, and leave the bed's fluff.

The day awaits, with tasks and to-dos, But I can't seem to shake off this morning blues.

I take a deep breath, and count to ten, But the thought of getting up is a struggle again.

The clock keeps ticking, the minutes go by, And I know I must get up, or I'll run out of time.

I take one last deep breath, and brace for the chill, As I swing my legs out, and rise up from the bed still.

The struggle is over, the morning has won, And I know I must get up, and get things done.

For in the end, it's the small victories that count, Like getting out of bed, and facing the day's amount.
