As stars twinkle oh so bright,

I sit and ponder, lost in thought,

Of all the things that I have wrought.

The memories, both good and bad,

The laughter and the tears I've had,

The moments that have made me who,

I am today, and what I'll do.

The path ahead is long and steep,

With challenges I must defeat,

But I'll forge on with strength and might,

And find the joy in every night.

For life is short, but oh so sweet,

And every day is like a treat,

So I'll cherish each and every one,

And never let my spirit be undone.

So here's to all that lies ahead,

To every joy and every dread,

I'll face them with a smile so bright,

And bask in the beauty of the night.
