Not long ago, YouTube blocked many YouTube channels with crypto content and how Google revoked access to the popular MetaMask app in its Google Play store. Since then, the situation has stabilized, but the new wave of Google's blocking of crypto content has not been waiting long.
The popular cryptomain YouTube channels have come to life again, and YouTube has admitted it was a mistake. MetaMask has also been restored to Google Play in early January.
However, censorship of crypto content starts again in early March. Cointelegraph reported today that a number of popular cryptographic and blockchain applications are suddenly unavailable in the Google Play store. This is also true of the application of Cointelegraph itself, which is one of the most widely read cryptomenon periodicals.
Cointelegraph asked Google for an explanation, but the response of the Internet giant, which also controls YouTube, is still pending. For the time being, the reasons for this decision can only be speculated, but since the canceled apps may not have violated any community policy, it may be another mistake.
Google is embarking on a policy that there must be no apps in the Google Play store that allow cryptography to be extracted. However, it is not known that even one of the blocked apps offers this service.
