Despite the opening to this article, this isn’t a take on the political or military situation we see unfolding around us but rather a contemplation on something much deeper.
Many of you will have heard the quotes “the first casualty in any war is truth” and “all warfare is based on deception.”
To those old enough to remember the media reporting of Vietnam’s Gulf of Tonkin incident or more recently, politicians spurious claims of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, we can easily relate to the absence of any truth and the abundance of deception.
The ongoing special military operation in Ukraine is no exception.
At least with the abundance of non-mainstream media channels we now have access to both sides of the story. The conclusions to be drawn from any specific incident can be seen from either of the opposing viewpoints.
This access doesn’t necessarily provide truth of course but certainly showcases the different spin placed on any incident by those involved.
A clear example of this is Friday’s strange turn of events regarding Wagner’s Prigozhin and his widely reported ‘attempted coup attempt’ against the authorities in Russia.
Predictably, the western mainstream media have portrayed this as a weakness in Russia’s government. Just as predictably, the non-aligned media have stressed the speed in which the armed insurrection was put down and how it demonstrated the strength and unity in Moscow.
Neither of which tackle the fundamental irregularities of Prigozhin’s actions.
In the simplest terms, the two over-riding needs for a successful coup are i) thorough prior planning and ii) speed of execution of that planning at the appointed time targeting the main nerve centres of the established power base.
Loudly proclaiming your aims while launching a lumbering armoured convoy from Rostov, several hours drive south of Moscow, demonstrated neither of those two necessities.
So what really happened here?
Beyond What We Can See
Shunyamurti is the founder and director of the Sat Yoga Institute in Costa Rica whose stated “mission is to accelerate the transformation of human consciousness and contribute to the spiritual and cultural renaissance that is fermenting now on our planet.”
In his latest Youtube video he discusses the concept of individual ego and how we can see through that fabricated illusion to reach our real self. In turn this real self can be seen as part of the all and only then can the ‘I’ thought dissolve entirely bringing peace and ultimate liberation.
This teaching may or may not be of interest to everyone or even align with their current understanding of creation but he goes on to use the recent event in Russia as an example of how reality is woven into our existing world of illusion.
Shunyamurti suggests that what we have witnessed in Prozighin’s ‘attempted coup’ is a psy-op. i.e.: A psychological operation designed to confuse and bewilder an opponent.
But this psy-op is not just effecting the military, politicians and civilians on the ground but is much more encompassing; a psy-op impacting our collective reality buying time in avoiding annihilation of our present world.
I’d recommend watching the whole video but if the concept of the ego/real self/all does not resonate with you, then you can jump ahead to the 20:43 timestamp to hear Shunyamurti’s understanding of the greater meaning of the ‘Prigozhin/Putin psy-op’.
Caveat
This article has been created merely to bring the concept of ego/I/all and the current potential psy-op idea to the attention of readers at Publish0x, not as an endorsement of either the message or the teacher.
If his message resonates with you fine, if it doesn't that's fine too.
Shunyamurti may indeed have a unique insight but this doesn't mean he or anyone else should be adopted as a guru.
The old adage of listen to all, follow none is as true today as it ever was.
