Continuing from 20 Years of Ugochill Music Part 4 (Alen Sveto & Trinity Roy - In my life)
Strange days to be busy writing this blog and preparing new releases, thinking about the past, present, future...
But it makes me only more determent to see it through.
So let's continue.
First decade of new millennium was all about using opportunities and tools given with rise of digital music revolution and internet to independently make, release and promote music.I had all the time, space and energy in the world to invest in it.
But as it goes..we got older, non musical issues started to seriously hinder my ability to function as I have been used to.My life and life of my friends began to transform and transition.Quite few of my close friends and associates left Amsterdam.
I also became proud parent of two very sweet daughters (2006. and 2012.)
Amsterdam was also changing.Will not go into details, in the end they are not that important.
What is important that time, space and energy I had before to be able to fully focus on making music and work with other people was no more.
Just like it happened with many many artists.I had simple choice.Or relegate your previous way of living in to second division, or run into serious problems.
Choice was simple and my decision was never in question.So as an musician I went into limbo, but did everything I could to be daddy, my little family can count on.
There were months I did not touch guitar, or if I did I would use it to play some sweet tunes for kids (babies), or would just play some random mainly minor chords just because they sounded relaxing. :)
While making music became extremely difficult, promoting music was doable.I helped various artists with their promotion, setting up their youtube or social media channels, facebook pages.Various competitions.It helped me also keeping in touch and with people and with music.
Still as years went by, urge to also make some music on my own was naturally getting only stronger.
Summer 2013, vacation time presented me with window of opportunity to actually do just that.
3 weeks..well enough but not that much time also.What to do?
Then it just came across my mind.What kind of guitar player I'm without guitar instrumentals.? :)
And I could do it quickly, simply, drums, bass and guitars only.All on my own.
And I did it.In 3-4 weeks I recorded, edited and mixed and had ready new Ugochill release, EP called Solitude.
Five tracks, all guitar instrumentals.
Later in 2017 just as it happened with debut album, Theory of Relaxivity when I was changing distribution deal, EP got pulled.
So instead of rereleasing those two, I posted EP also in its original form on to Ugochill bandcamp page.While including 4 tracks from it on compilation album that was released instead.But more about that later.

It is going to take another 4 years before I was not able to again focus on music..
