NFT for me?

NFT for me?

In an earlier post I talked about my thoughts on Bitcoin. I am not sure if I understand the value of Bitcoin, however I have one million times more confidence in Bitcoin than I do in NFT's.

My initial reaction to NFT's was what a bunch of BS. My thoughts after pondering NFT's is what a bunch of BS. Granted, I am just learning about NFT's and this may change over time as I learn more and more about them.  I have been reading about NFT's and here is a site that explains them https://www.investopedia.com/non-fungible-tokens-nft-5115211

Non-Fungible Token. I get the idea of a digital asset that is unique. What I don't get is how that is valuable. Again, I am likely naïve about such things but I think back to using Apple iTunes early on. I bought songs to "own" yet had to buy them again if I did not continue to use Apple products. I want something tangible.  To me, the biggest hang up I have personally with NFT's is that they are "Not F'in Tangible."

Again, I like the idea of things like NFT's and the Metaverse, but I don't understand how there is real value in a computer generated item. I mean, digital property selling for more than real land? Whisky Tango Foxtrot!

Again, let's say I buy an NFT. Then what? I can lease it, print it out, share ownership?

I am looking forward to the day in the distant future where I look back on this post and either see the wisdom in it, or laugh at the complete lack of understanding of the concept of NFT's.

Thanks for reading about my thoughts as I am relatively new to this whole space and am enjoying learning something new daily. I like challenging myself to think outside the box about things I would have never even considered a few months ago.

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
