I have been thinking about this recently. When the rise in the value of many cryptocurrency coins and tokens started at the end of 2023, I was happy that my investments into these commodities began to improve. I was overjoyed how these investments had all gone from losing value of the initial investment to gaining value in all but one of the 13 coins and tokens I had invested in.
With that said, I had some trepidation that I had lost the most important buying opportunity crypto would ever have presented. Now, I believe you can still buy now and make a profit in the long run, it just won't be the tremendous buying opportunity it was in the past year or two. I mean getting Solana under $20 and Bitcoin at under $16000 was a steal. Those were steals for someone like me who did not get involved in cryptocurrency years ago.
This recent downturn is allowing me to continue to invest in various crypto commodities at good prices, just not the ones witnessed in the past few years. I have read many articles where there are predictions that the market will go to ATH this year. I am not sure about that, but I am sure it will go up in the long run.
I am a HODL'er, I do not have the funds to invest and sell every time the market goes up only to buy low and repeat. I am slowly investing little by little, as I am a mere regular Joe who came to the party late, but has invested without emotion, and did not panic when the bottom dropped out in the past year.
Here's to the crypto future, with hopes of some level of financial freedom, not expecting the moon, but maybe a little earlier retirement!
