Given the past six months or so, I could see some of you argue this is not true. However, as I have been writing about, the entire market is down and there are examples from all business sectors of bad people running bad or fraudulent schemes.
Look at all of the good that comes from cryptocurrency, from decentralization to ease of use and transferability.
In some ways I am surprised I am writing this particular article. Not too long ago, I was not a fan of cryptocurrency. "Monopoly money" is what I called it. Little did I know at the time. However, the problem for me then, and for those who know little to nothing about cryptocurrency, there are instances of the concept of "monopoly money" being very accurate. Take FTT, the cryptocurrency created by FTX. It is the definition of something fake, just created for those who created it to use at their disposal to take real value in exchange for a fake "good."
I think we all know, or at least have been exposed to the idea of how one negative thing takes multiple good things to overcome the problem. We are hardwired to hear the bad and believe it more than we are to hear something good and believe it. Cryptocurrency is an unknown, things tend to be scary for most individuals when we do not understand them. If we want to help this succeed in the long run, we have to wok to getting rid of the frauds and the get rich quick schemes in order to build a better tomorrow for cryptocurrency and the world.
Helping people understand what cryptocurrency is will take more effort than it will to denounce it. Lets keep working!
