Crypto and the November 2024 US elections.

By TwoDogsCaged | TwoDogsCaged | 15 May 2024

I have to say, the upcoming US elections will be very important, as they always are to some degree. However, this time seems more important as there is some growth in the US electorate (in my opinion) of drinking less of the Kool-Aid, and more independent thinking.

I came across this article yesterday: that address's a billionaire's apparent belief how the anti-crypt stance from the SEC may affect the US elections.

I can't say for sure I believe it may happen. However it is a real possibility. I mean, as wrote in the opening paragraph, more and more voters are thinking for themselves and not just listening to the majority mainstream opinion of "Republican bad, Democrat good." I see both parties as opposite sides of the same coin. They mirror themselves in the mainstream media as doom and gloom and how the other is destroying the country. Why not vote for policy that works, not just the R or the D?  Cryptocurrency is here to stay, and is a part of the future.

Opposing sensible regulation for cryptocurrency is not protecting constituents. It is harmful. Allowing the SEC to lead from behind, and make things up as they go is not sensible, or legal for that matter. I am not a great legal mind, but I do know that picking and choosing some cryptocurrencies as securities, and some not is foolish and inappropriate. Even a judge got the XRP case half right.

There are many of the top cryptocurrencies that are clearly decentralized, and clearly are commodities. I hope the SEC comes to it's sense and helps out the general public instead of waging it's losing battle against cryptocurrency.

If you are for the D's, you better hope the the billionaire is wrong. If you are for the R's, you hope he is right.

Here's to the future!!!

How do you rate this article?

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
