I have to say I have been hit or miss on my cryptocurrency predictions at the start of each of the past few years.

These were my 2025 predictions:

2025 Prediction 1: Bitcoin will drop to $50,000 before it shoots up to $200,000 by the end of the year.

2025 Prediction 2: The SEC drops its fight against crypto broadly but will start to go after the shitcoin or scams. It will drop the case against Ripple XRP.

2025 Prediction 3: Speaking of Ripple XRP, it will hit $10 at some point in 2025 and then drop to around $6.

2025 Prediction 4: There will be at least 10 cryptocurrencies that will be approved for ETF's.  I would venture to say it will be Ripple, Cardano, and Solana for sure.

Now, I would say I was off on all of them to some degree, but Bitcoin getting to nearly 130k was nice, many ETFs were approved, I can't' find a list so can't say at least 10 were approved.  I was way off on XRP and was correct on prediction 2.

Here we go for 2026:

2026 Prediction 1: Bitcoin will drop to $25,000 and end the year around $50,000. Now, I hope this is not true, but am worried about the near-term outlook on the market. In the long run, by the end of 2027 we will see Bitcoin at $200,000.

2026 Prediction 2: Meaningful legislation will be passed by the US Senate and House and will be signed into law by the president. I believe the CFTC will primarily addressed cryptocurrency in the US.

2026 Prediction 3: Now, this prediction is a play-off of the first prediction. I am thinking a little bit deeper. I do think there is a chance that the market skyrockets and that will lead to ATH's for most cryptocurrency. So, here is a bad prediction that is hedging a bit. If it tanks, Bitcoin will be under $50,000 but if not it will be $175,000. Also, Ethereum will top $10,000 or drop to $1,500.

Prediction 4: By the end of the year, ETF's will continue to be approved, and there will be a net positive inflow to cryptocurrency ETF's.
