The end of poverty...a science fiction scenario... Intro

By T.J. Smith | TJ's World | 4 Nov 2023

I present what I believe could be a solution to poverty.

Picture this scenario:

In an age where love has become irrelevant:

We commence with the following:

  1. 200 Men aged between 50 and 55.
  2. 200 Women aged between 50 and 55.
  3. 200 Women between 18 and 25.
  4. 200 Men between 18 and 25.

For this discussion, let's assume there are no children involved at this stage.

Bearing in mind the following details:

A. Each person aged over 50 carries a million-dollar life insurance policy.

B. Every individual over 50 has a well-paying job.

C. Each person over 50 owns their own home, car, and so on.

Now, envisage that the 200 men aged 50-55 each marry a woman between 18-25.

Additionally, envision that the 200 women aged 50-55 each marry a man between 18-25.

The result would be 400 couples, each composed of an older and a younger partner.

What will be the benefits of such a society?

What are your thoughts on the potential outcomes of such a society?

Please share your insights in the comments, as I plan to further explore this scenario in the upcoming weeks
