Crypto hacks are becoming more prevalent and sophisticated in the web3 space and much more like in in web2 you can track them. The best you can do I protect yourself.

Hacks become more difficult to defend when you use a self custodian wallet, and even when you use a centralized wallet, you run a risk of being REKT.
In this article I will drop some tips on how you can protect yourself from some hacks and wallet drain.
Malicious websites: these websites parade themselves along legitimate sites and offer to give some rewards or incentives of you sign a smartcontract or perform a task on their site.
When you fall for such scams, they end up draining your wallet and all that's in it, some of these sites sell out your personal information to advertisers.
Phishing scam: phishing scams are synonymous to malicious websites, in phishing scam, a link is sent out that looks like the link to a popular site but with a slight difference in the address, these differences are usually not too noticable at first glance.
This link will take you to a copy of the site, most of these sites are used to farm for login details. Be sure to cross-reference any site you are engaging with, especially when you are doing something related to your wallet.
MITM: man in the middle attacks are prevalent in open networks life public wifi. In this kind of hacks, a hacker connects to a network and inspects the sites that people using the wifi are visiting. If he See's anyone that interests him, he becomes a middle man in that network and can manipulate the contents the user is accessing.
In order to avoid these types of hacks, be sure to use a VPN when accessing a public network. The VPN encrypts your data been sent through the wifi network.
