Summer is fast approaching. You can already feel the heat. Its a challenge to turn the airconditioning off. But along with the coming summer is the end of the school year. Graduation left and right. Facebook posts are seen with proud parents proudly posting pictures of their graduating chilldren. I was under the same spell some 2 years ago when both my kids graduated from elementary and junior high school respectively. 

It really is the pride of parents when you get to go up the stage and witness your child receiving their diplomas and more so if they would graduate with honors. I am blessed to have smart kids, so every so often, I would get the chance to go up the stage and receive a medal or a certificate with my kids. It really makes my heart swell.  I make an effort to provide my kids with everything they need for their school and it really gives me a big reason to beam when my kids bring home an achievement from school. Makes me feel like all the sacrifices are all worth it. 

Don't get me wrong, I'm far from a perfect parent and my kids are far from perfect children and us far from a perfect family but there are moments, special moments like graduation or a moment of achievement that I feel like we're perfect. A chance to celebrate, we eat out and spend time together, have fun and enjoy each others company and for a time, all the imperfections seem so unimportant. 

Well, to all graduating students and parents congratulations! Keep up it up. Remember, graduation is not the end, its the beginning
