Will the Real Racists Please Stand Up?

By Deejo | Thinking-Out-Loud | 27 Dec 2020

Many powerful Democrats are trying very hard to make people believe that President Trump and his supporters are racists. In fact, the mainstream media (MSM), big tech companies, and Hollywood actors are an echo chamber for this accusation. But, if you actually take the time to look at the voting history and actions of the Democrat party, you will find that they are accusing others of their very own actions (and attitudes).

After Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president I began watching him very close. I have observed many things about this man, but I have not seen any racism. In fact, I have seen him work harder for the black communities than any previous president (since President Lincoln).

Prior to Donald Trump running for office, he was praised by the black communities and their leaders. It wasn’t until he decided to run against the Democrats that he was being labeled a racist.

President Trump enacted the First Step Act which allowed many blacks who committed non-violent crimes to be released early from their unfairly long sentences. This opposed the Clinton-Biden crime law from 1994 which unfairly targeted minorities in the inner cities.

Trump has created “opportunity zones” which helped to bring jobs to the black communities. He also increased funding for black colleges and universities. Something even Obama didn’t do.

Every election the Democrats say they will help the black communities. Have they? As soon as the elections are over they go back to “business as usual” and forget about those they wooed for votes.

Let’s look at history. The Democrats want you to think that they protect the black people. It is interesting to note that the first 23 black members of congress were Republicans. Abraham Lincoln who freed the slaves was a Republican. During Grant’s presidency, the Republicans introduced the 15th amendment to The Constitution giving blacks the right to vote.

In 1964 Republicans were finally able to pass the 24th Amendment preventing people from discriminating against the poor with their poll tax, which largely affected the black communities. That same year legislation was passed to eliminate other forms of discrimination. The majority who voted for this were Republicans.

In a paper called “The Inconvenient Truth About the Democrat Party” Carol Swain said :

“The Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War, opposed Reconstruction, founded the Ku Klux Klan, imposed segregation, perpetrated lynchings, and fought against the civil rights acts of the 1950s and 1960s.

In contrast, the Republican Party was founded in 1854 as an anti-slavery party. Its mission was to stop the spread of slavery into the new western territories with the aim of abolishing it entirely. This effort, however, was dealt a major blow by the Supreme Court. In the 1857 case Dred Scott v. Sandford, the court ruled that slaves aren’t citizens; they’re property. The seven justices who voted in favor of slavery? All Democrats. The two justices who dissented? Both Republicans.”

There is much more about the history of Republicans supporting freedom for the black people and Democrats trying to hold them down, but I don’t want to make this into a book so I will stop here with the history.

When did the Democrats speak out against the violence that destroyed black lives, black communities, and black-owned businesses? The answer is simple... NEVER! No one should be judging others based on skin color. There will always be a few that do, but I don't believe that racism is as prevalent as the MSM and Democrats want us to believe.
