Theta Mainnet 3.0 - Brings TFUEL Staking and Burning

Yesterday Dec. 8 '20 Theta announced in the Spring of '21 they will release Theta Mainnet 3.0 which brings TFUEL Staking and Burning. Recall tomorrow Dec. 10 '20 Theta Turning Smart Contracts go Live opening a whole new world of DApps and User Smart Contracts.

So what does Mainnet 3.0 bring?

1) Elite Edge Nodes - users can Stake TFUEL to Edge Nodes to 'upgrade' it to Elite Edge Node Status. This allows users to earn more TFUEL - earn on your stake TFUEL and via sharing excess Bandwidth

2) TFUEL burning aka the Network Fee or a balancing fee for increasing TFUEL supply. Recall TFUEL grows at a 5% per annum clip. Theta introduced a minimum 25% of TFUEL will be burned at the network level

Look for more from Theta as they build and release more prior to the 3.0 Launch. So far I have been very impressed with Theta's ability to innovate and bring that innovation to market in a stable functional capacity. I look for great things from Theta in '21!

Summary

Theta continues to innovate, now they are innovating to bring more stability to their Edge nodes and a chance to earn more TFUEL.
