Another Tomorrow

By ErickP | The Writings of Erick Pratt | 16 Mar 2021

Another day has come to pass,
Another day that I must last.
Is this the last day that I must see?
If it is so, then let it go fast.

One more sun I wish not to see.
Another breath I’d rather not breathe.
I do not desire to feel the grass.
I simply do not want to be.

Bring to close this dreadful light,
Take it forever from my sight.
Relieve me now of my sorrow.
Another day I cannot fight.

I do not want another tomorrow
And wear a smile that I must borrow.
Let me stay, now, in the night.
Let me leave behind my sorrow.
