So far in the last decade I've asked others if they are "into bitcoin & crypto"
Of course I had gotten the same reply:
"What is it?"
After explaining the simplicities of the first one(BTC) and the "what" it is and "how" it works the replies became skeptical
because all I spoke to are US citizens and focused on the value of the US dollar and that the dollar itself was basically the only form of currency.
"Sounds like BS". "So it's fake money?" "That's too good to be true." "It's too volatile." "So it's just stocks?" "Like the US dollar?"
After that, most became hesitant and walked away.
Then realizing what REALLY motivates the masses best would be the simplest way to explain: "It's money."
Which, in my personal opinion, is true seeing that there are exchange platforms for all or most current tokens that can be traded for the current fiat in the country or region that you reside in.
Now with the BTC being over 50K, most of the non-believers of crypto have returned to ask "how" and of course, they ask: Is it really money?"
And the answer was "Yes."
Seeing that the technical jargon used to explain how blockchain tech, bitcoin, and other coins work are a bit complex for the general masses, adopting the simple phrase, "It's Money.", has actually helped out a great deal in getting the non-believers to believe the truth.
Cryptocurrency IS Money.
