This is known as an inscription on Bitcoin, and it's a special kind of transaction that can have interesting uses.

An inscription transaction involves counting the satoshis (the smallest unit of Bitcoin) within the transaction using a method called ordinal theory. The first satoshi in the transaction is considered to be the "inscribed satoshi." For example, if an inscription transaction contains 100 satoshis, the first satoshi in the transaction would be considered the "inscribed satoshi."

Using certain wallets, it's possible to send inscribed satoshis using regular satoshis as the transaction fee. This means that you don't need to use the inscribed satoshis themselves to pay for the transaction fee. Alternatively, with the Sparrow wallet, you can use some of the inscribed satoshis themselves to cover the fee.

Georgie is an acrylic painting and an NFT (non-fungible token) that was minted by me on the platform OpenSea, and then sold to the buyer who inscribed it on-chain (Bitcoin).
