After Microstrategy's executive chairman, Michael Saylor, stated that the business currently possesses 226,500 BTC worth $13.4 billion, its BTC holdings had increased 61%. Blockchaincenter.net's ‘There Is No Second Best’ index initially suggested Microstrategy should have invested in ethereum, but the gap has decreased. Currently, ether is just 63% more valuable than bitcoin.

Microstrategy's BTC investment rose 30% in the first week of December 2023. Blockchaincenter.net's ‘There Is No Second Best’ index showed that the firm would have gained 71% if it had chosen ethereum (ETH). However, ether has fallen significantly relative to BTC.

Microstrategy (MS) had 174,530 BTC eight months ago. Today, the business has 226,500 BTC worth $13.4 billion. MS bought this cache for $8.353 billion, $36,907 per coin. MS would have bought 5,210,397 ETH, worth two percentage points more than its BTC investment, if it had dollar-cost averaged into ether instead of bitcoin, according to the ‘There Is No Second Best’ index.
