Crypto.com launched its Visa card program in Latin America, bringing its famous cryptocurrency-linked rewards card to a region with significant interest in digital assets.
Crypto.com Visa Card customers may preload cash using crypto wallets or fiat currency using the app, according to a release.
In seven levels, the card gives up to 8% cash back on spending, Spotify and Netflix refunds, and airport lounge access. Certain levels of this card have no annual or monthly fees, unlike regular credit cards.
This is part of Crypto.com's worldwide cryptocurrency adoption push.
Latin America is the fifth biggest crypto economy, with 7.3% market share, according to Chainalysis. Residents in this area often use digital assets to protect their money from currency depreciation and dictatorship.
Crypto.com President and COO Eric Anziani noted Latin America's growing demand for crypto services. He said the card would “give Latin American users generous spending rewards paid in crypto, rebates for popular subscription services and many more perks.”
Crypto.com credit cards work like prepaid debit cards but use bitcoin.
Crypto.com's 2025 strategy includes additional services and product offerings, which this launch supports. The Crypto.com app lets Latin American users apply for the card.
As digital asset demand grows in the area, this extension might standardize crypto usage for regular transactions.
