Japan's largest Bitcoin holder offers dividend shares
At an extraordinary meeting on Friday, Metaplanet shareholders accepted all five motions, allowing two new classes of preferred shares to fund Bitcoin purchases and pay investors monthly and quarterly dividends.
The Tokyo-listed corporation, which possesses 30,823 BTC worth $2.7 billion, can now raise capital through dividend-paying instruments rather than diluting common stockholders.
After all agenda items passed, CEO Simon Gerovich congratulated attendees and Executive Dylan LeClair announced the meeting's outcome on social media.
Expanding authorized preferred shares to 555 million for both Class A and Class B structures, amending Class A shares to carry monthly floating-rate dividends under MARS, and issuing Class B preferred shares to overseas institutional investors were approved.

After unilateral vote push, Aave Labs accused of breaking trust
Aave Labs unilaterally pushed a major governance proposal to vote without contacting its creator, creating brand ownership disputes that threaten to change the DeFi protocol's DAO's connection with its founding firm.
Contributors and token holders have called the rushed decision, which bypassed community deliberation, a breach of trust and an attempt to control the narrative about who owns Aave's most valuable assets.
Aave Labs' ownership proposal to Snapshot was publicly denounced by BGD Labs co-founder Ernesto Boado.
Unload Bitcoin Whales December Offload: 36.5K BTC, $3.37B
This whale cohort's divestiture is important for trading desks. While sharks (100-1,000 BTC) accumulate, the 10k-100k BTC cohort frequently sells before severe price falls or lengthy consolidation. It's not retail profit-taking. A systematic, large-scale distribution from long-term players.
Desks now actively monitor exchange inflow. A jump in inflows would suggest these moves are preparatory to selling on the open market, not internal wallet management or OTC trades, raising the likelihood of a test of lower support levels around $80,400.
