The world of cryptocurrencies is replete with promising projects that investors come across intending to earn big returns. But as they always say, not all projects are created equal. A recent example of such a project that has been criticized is the CART project. Some of the declared grievances of the participants included; troubles with listing price, issues with token distributions, and many others, which have in one way or another given credence to the alarm that the project is a scam. Now let's discuss these issues in more detail.
The Misleading Listing Price
Pump n Dump—this one is one of the major lows concerning the Cats project, which is associated with Cats token and properly fraudulent listing price. At the time of the token launch, its price before its entry into the market hovered around between $0.0003 and $0.0004 and began trading on the Bitget exchange on the 26th of August, 2024. This led investors to think that the said price would only be temporary and that once the market began to understand the nature of the asset, the value would fall within $0.001 to $0.009.
Yet when the actual listing came in, the token price lingered at an expected lofty level but instead, was stuck at ‘dust’, as many would put it compared to the expectation that was set. Anticipated costs are estimated to range between $0.001 and $0.009, whereas actual expenditures are estimated to vary between $0.0003 and $0.0004, demoralizing investors since they realized they were deceived.
Soon after the listing on Bitget, CATS was to go main listing in Bybit and Gate.io on October 8, 2024, which created a buzz among the crypto enthusiasts. Still, the token’s bearish trend during the early trading period saw many of them doubt the feasibility of the hype now employed as a marketing strategy.
This disparity has many people questioning the basics of the Cats project, namely, the truthfulness of what was sold to the community and what was delivered. The actual reality has displeased many investors to the extent that they felt lured into a delusional dream and coerced into a perceived nightmare and this placed question marks over the credibility of the project.

Unfair Token Distribution
The case with the token distribution process is another one, many participants didn't receive what they were supposed to or even only part of what was promised. The community members looking forward to their investments paying off have been angered and disappointed with this.
That was even worse, as some who did receive tokens discovered how little they actually received compared to what they had expected. The distribution of this currency has been inconsistent for many people and has led many to feel as though they were taken, as they were not given the rewards promised to them for their support and participation in this project.

Cats Disappointed Us
Many of the supporters of the Cats project have felt betrayed and scammed. I have been on the receiving end of many differing opinions among the community when I have asked about what they feel about the project and many have expressed the fact they feel misled with an unfair token distribution, the double spending of OG pass holders and the disappointing airdrop. Many see what was promised as an opportunity as a source of frustration.
These new airdrops have tarnished the prestige and excitement established up front by previous airdrops like Notcoin and Dogs. It was disheartening even more because these past successes had set such a high standard of performance that the shortcomings of the CART project were that much worse. But whatever the setbacks, that may not be the end of it yet. Some projects could restore the reputation of crypto airdrops, as well as bring back trust from the community, like Mefi, Major, Tomarket.ai or Blum.
