Why cryptocurrency is important

Cryptocurrency has taken the world by storm since it's introduction in 2009, when Bitcoin was first introduced to the world.

Cryptocurrency is much different than currency used by countries in the world today. It is purely digital and it's major draw is that it's decentralized, ungoverned by a central power, especially banks. It was created by an individual/group whom goes by a pseudonym, Satoshi Nakamoto. From this open source coin came many others, including but not limited to, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Dashcoin, etc.

One thing that the blockchain has inherently done is provided economic sustainability. Take for example the music platform, eMusic. Their intergration with the blockchain has allowed them to give their users free unlimited storage for music, which is a serious perk. Other platforms such as Storj uses the blockchain to provide cloud storage for their users.

Software using the blockchain has even enabled the general public to earn passive income through the use of their products. Products such as Brave web browser and Pocketnet are two examples.

Who knows what the future may hold? We'll find out soon enough.
