I've arranged your questions into categories
▎ Productivity
-
"How do you balance multiple projects without feeling burnt out? What are your tips for managing time effectively?"
I don't balance anything. Balance means "equilibrium of 2 or more opposing forces." Why do you have opposing forces in your life?
When something is dragging you back and another is dragging you forth. If you succeed at balancing them, you've achieved stagnancy.
Chase the dream you really want; take the risk that is required. Find the clearest direction and flow towards it.
▎ Creativity
-
"I feel stuck in a creative rut and can’t seem to generate new ideas. What techniques do you use to spark creativity when you're feeling uninspired?"
I wrote an article on this: https://crive.substack.com/p/inspiration-on-command-5-easy-steps
-
"How do you deal with self-doubt when sharing your creative work with others? What advice would you give to someone hesitant to put their work out there?"
I used to doubt myself until I realized that some things people posted and got thousands of likes for were common sense to me, and some were even dumb shit; if they can get people interested in that, then I can do mine too, I told myself.
I got out of the self-doubt trap by adopting a "fuck everyone" mindset. Be more selfish and create stuff you genuinely love; share it, but don't be too bothered about what people like and don't like; you will lose yourself.
It is better to be hated for what you love than to be loved for what isn't really you.
-
"What steps can I take to cultivate a more creative mindset in my daily life, especially if I have a demanding job?"
Write things down
▎ Technology
-
"With so many tools available, how do you choose the right technology to enhance your creative process without getting overwhelmed?"
I go for the simplest and most minimalist thing possible, When I'm looking for an image conversion tool, I'll pick a website titled "webp to jpeg dot com" over "convert all pics dot com."
I have a rule I call the efficiency-effectiveness tradeoff:
A light book can serve as a hand fan, but a hand fan is a more efficient hand fan.
You can have a clock app on your phone, but a device that's only a clock is a more efficient clock.
You can read a PDF on your phone, but the hard copy is a more efficient copy.
When a thing is only a search engine, it's likely going to be a really good search engine.
Visit google.com and yahoo.com and observe the difference.
A thing that's a power bank, BT speaker, radio, and torch light is neither the most efficient power bank, nor radio, nor torch light, nor BT speaker.
We sacrifice efficiency for mobility, and mobility for efficiency.
You should take note of this when you're building technology as well.
-
"As someone interested in tech, how do you stay updated on the latest trends without feeling like you're constantly playing catch-up?"
I don't stay updated.
The information available is so abundant, you can't consume half of it, only look at what helps your goals, or else you will lose yourself.
If I open a social media app like X, I only visit the profile of some people I follow and see their latest posts, then close it.
-
"What are your thoughts on the impact of AI on creative jobs? Will AI replace programmers?"
AI isn't going to replace programmers but will help programmers replace non-programmers
Programming will evolve, we will get rid of the manual and robotic parts, people will be able to get their creative dreams to life with less friction. You won't have to write code to become a programmer.
▎ Business
-
"What are the most common mistakes people make when starting a creative business, and how can I avoid them?"
By starting a creative business.
▎ Miscellaneous
-
"I often feel guilty for taking breaks or time off from work. How can I change my perspective on rest and its importance for creativity?"
Read my article on sleep: https://crive.substack.com/p/sleep-crash-course-for-more-energy
-
"What advice would you give someone who wants to make a significant life change but is afraid of the risks involved?"
The most risky thing to do is not to take on any risk.
-
"Why Is your Twitter dead. Is it intentional? My Twitter is also dead, and as a techie, I hear that it is important to have a social presence, I have been trying for so long but my follower count is always bouncing between 12 and 20."
I'm still figuring it out. Mostly, I don't care about follower count right now; it's not always a valuable metric.
I've sometimes told myself that Elon Musk didn't get 40 million followers by cringing around; it's because he's done cool shit and I should focus on that instead. I need to really enjoy it. And if it doesn't seem natural now, then fuck it.
My LinkedIn and Facebook are also dead, but I've somehow gotten the attention of thousands of readers by writing and publishing articles.
It is foolish for me to stop optimizing what is already working for me so that I can try hard at something that isn't working quite well yet because everyone is saying that's where is hot right now.
Elon Musk could post "I just took a shit and drank some milk," and he'll get thousands of likes; heck, people will even use it to create shitcoins. You could post something insightful and see crickets. It's all about the context around the tweet; I need to build that instead.
If you chase followers, you will get it, but one of the reasons you're reluctant is because you don't have clarity on how important it is. If you knew for certain that it would get you the number 1 outcome you want in your life, you will already have thousands of followers.
You need to understand why you need an audience, the how, what and where will reveal itself. Don't do things only because the gurus you respect say so, it's important to understand why from fundamental principles."
12. “Do you think freelancing is dead?"
Freelancing is not dead; it's evolving, and it will get better than simply trading time for money. Let's have a chat on this, Israel. I'll share some insights and use what I write to you to create a post on this.
-
"What's your biggest lesson from 2024?"
Before trying to automate. Understand how the manual process works.
Before building a product, start with a service.
Before trying to make money while you sleep, try making money while you're awake.
Do the unscalable.
-
"Everything I learn or try doesn't work well; I barely get better no matter how hard I try, and I keep switching from one thing to another. How do I figure out what I really need to focus on and get better at?"
Become a jack of all trades.
You won't be a master designer
You may struggle to write clean code
Your sales skills might be mediocre
You may have an insane passion for something everyone says is monetarily useless.
Terrible handwriting
Stammering
But somehow, the combination of abilities you have can make you create value no one else can. Self-reflect and exploit your unfair advantage. The last things you've tried aren't failures; they're giving you the tools to build the big thing at the end. The more you seem to be failing, the more you're stacking tools, and the bigger the impact you will build.
I'm rooting for you.
-
"How do I know if a habit is good for me?"
If you're wondering whether it's good or not, then it's not.
Either it helps you achieve your goals or it doesn't. There's no in-between.
Even though it's not directly stopping you from achieving your goals, whenever you do it, there's something else that could be taking you closer to your goals that you aren't doing. Hence it's delaying your goals
-
"How do you become patient with the results if you're trying so hard and waiting and nothing seems to be working out?"
If patience means waiting, then it shouldn't be a virtue because it's not always profitable to wait. But patience means doing something else in the meantime. As long as that thing doesn't detract from the goal.
The reason it's easier to be patient when a timeframe for waiting is given is because it gives you an idea of what to do in the meantime that doesn't detract from the goal (patience).
Not knowing a timeframe makes it difficult to find the perfect thing to do in the meantime because of the fear that you might miss what you're waiting for.
You don't know when you're going to be successful; if you do, you'll already be successful. This is difficult.
Whenever you have an issue like this, the best thing to look for is clarity, instead of dancing around impatiently. The most important thing to work on is to figure out what the most important thing to work on is. If you're sure that this is the number 1 thing that will get you your goals, you won't have any problem with patience or motivation. You should apply for my clarity compass by replying "Clarity.".

"I had a childish goal of knowing everything; I think if you want to know everything, you'd have to be immortal. What are your thoughts on immortality?"
Being comes from knowing. You are what you know. Permanent knowing is an inaccurate representation of the impermanence of being.
Knowledge will always change. Knowledge is what drives evolution. Even if you become immortal in order to have enough time to learn everything and become omniscient, knowledge will be exponentially created by other people; the only way to keep up is if you're the only one creating new knowledge.
Eventually, it could take a while, but at some point, new knowledge will be created that will end your immortality.
That's a wrap. As for some personal questions, I'll be sharing some of my stories soon. I'll also respond to some remaining questions in the chat, and I'll share the idea of the week and more there. This was fun; I can't wait to do this again. Thank you so much 🤍

Life Hack:
Keep a list of questions; you might get the opportunity to ask somebody that could change your life.
The quality of the information you get is proportional to the quality of your questions.
In the end, the outcome of your life depends on the information you come across and what you do with it. Expose yourself to more information. You will get more clarity from asking the right questions than knowing the right answers.
