I'm wondering where all the naysayers have gone to, the ones that kept harking that Bitcoin was going down to $10,000 or less. I can hear the crickets.
Bitcoin actually started climbing yesterday around 4 pm where it sat at $17,334. Yesterday in late afternoon, evening and overnight, Bitcoin jumped a couple of times sharply higher to peak at $18,347. That's a nice $1,000 jump in price in the last 24 hours.
At present, Bitcoin is at $18,071. You can see price movements in real time at Bitcoinprice.com.
I'm not going to go into the technical side of it except to say Core CPI numbers were released this morning. While goods inflation dropped a bit, services inflation is at its highest since 1982! Maybe that had something to do with Bitcoin's overnight rally.
If the CPI numbers did have something to do with Bitcoin's rally, it's interesting that the rally occurred before the numbers were made public. I'm just speculating but you never know these days. It could be a couple of whales with inside info. Again, I'm speculating...

By the way, I'm fast approaching my first 5,000 Satoshis earned by running the CryptoTab browser. I have it installed on an old computer and on my cell phone and together they work to get me 80 to 100 Satoshi per day. I have this belief that while I may have missed out on getting my hands on a full Bitcoin, I did not miss out on fractional Bitcoin, otherwise known as Satoshis.
One Bitcoin is divisible by 100 million bits. Think of it this way. One Bitcoin = 1.00000000 or 100 million bits. I envision a day when we'll be trading Satoshi, not full Bitcoins.
I plan on supplementing my Bitcoin earnings with actual purchases on the open market. Not much, like $50 to $100 Canadian every couple of months. I've set a goal for myself to eventually get 10 million Satoshis. The CryptoTab browser actually does a good job and I've made 2 transfers to my private wallet already and yes, they did pay out.
At this point, Satoshis are worth a fraction of a penny, something like $0.001 so really, at present it appears to be a waste of time. Wasn't the original first Bitcoins mined worth as much? I kick myself in the butt for missing out on Bitcoin. When I first learned of it, Bitcoin was at $250. Look where it is now!
This time around, I won't be kicking myself because I'm definitely not missing out on those Satoshis.
