Light at the end of the tunnel!

After having wayyyy to much fun on this cross country trip to move from Texas to Washington DC there is a light at the end of the tunnel! This has been a grueling trip to say the least with the Uhaul not able to keep pace the whole time.

In the times that the Uhaul has been really booking it my roommate and I have had to be careful in our vehicle as we have a small 8’X5’ trailer attached to a Chevy Blazer. Currently, we are about 2 hours outside of DC and making really good progress. The weather has held up pretty well and my health has cooperated which was something I was concerned about.

Being from Texas we are always at sea level so since my neurosurgeries I have not traveled up and down mountains or really any elevation changes. I was a little concerned about what might flare up but really needed to learn myself. With the constant up and down we have encountered since Tennessee I have slowly been getting hit worse and worse with symptoms and just feeling crappy. I am laughing to myself thinking about how pumped I am to have the symptoms because of how much worse it could be!

The next couple of days will be pretty chaotic as we have a handyman coming to install our ceiling fans and mount our TV’s tomorrow and Verizon is coming to set up TV and internet. We also have movers in the morning to bring up our heavy stuff tomorrow morning. Well I guess I should say my roommates heavy stuff since all I have will be come boxes of clothes. My bed arrives the 2nd and that’s the first and only piece of furniture I have ordered. I also have a cheap desk that may or may not have survived the trip and a couple of shoe racks as I am a guy with a sneaker problem!

The rest is really to see how it looks and add accordingly! This trip has been an adventure though! We will have spent roughly 10 hours everyday driving at least. The first day was 14.5 hours the second was right around 10 and this last day will end up being close to 8 if not 8.5 hours also.
