In the quiet pastures of Andalusia, a young shepherd named Santiago spent his days wandering with his flock of sheep. Unlike other shepherds, Santiago could read, and his heart was filled with a restless desire to see the world. His life changed forever when he began having a recurring dream of a hidden treasure buried near the Egyptian Pyramids.

​Following the advice of a mysterious king named Melchizedek, Santiago sold his sheep and set off on a journey across the sea to Africa. He was told that "when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." This was the pursuit of his Personal Legend.

​However, the journey was far from easy. Upon arriving in Tangier, Santiago was robbed of all his money and left with nothing but his two stones, Urim and Thummim. Instead of giving up, he began working for a crystal merchant. His hard work and innovative ideas transformed the shop, and after a year, he had earned enough money to continue his journey.
