HUGE PROGRESS! SyriaSwap Charity Platform Update September 19th, 2021

By Ian Minderman | Syria Swap | 19 Sep 2021

Hello, everyone!

In my previous blog post, I detailed my vision for my charitable crypto project called SyriaSwap. Basically, it's a swapping platform where the fees go to a charity in Syria which helps feed, clothe, and shelter the needy. I wanted to give everyone a quick update!

As stated in my original blog post, I was going to create SyriaSwap using the 0x Launch Kit, which would have taken mere minutes. However, this project is no longer maintained, so I decided I would have to do this the hard way and learn about blockchain programming. It turns out, I was only half right! I found a way to skip a large portion of the coding. Not all of the coding, however.

I've found that I can simply fork PancakeSwap, which is an already very popular swapping platform. This benefits the project in multiple ways. First and foremost, I won't have to learn to code blockchain projects from scratch. Thank God, because I honestly kinda suck at coding. Another huge benefit is that I can now integrate farms and pools into SyriaSwap with minimal effort! That's huge for attracting more people to the platform and generating more revenue for charity! I'm very excited about that. SyriaSwap will no longer be an unremarkable charity case only for those feeling particularly philanthropic at any given moment. It will now have genuine utility aside from just exchanging one cryptocurrency for another.

I've found some very helpful tutorials and documentation online, so the project is coming along swimmingly. I've made great progress in SyriaSwap's development, and I'm proud to say that it will be finished in due time. However, as stated earlier, I suck at coding. So if you're a blockchain developer and you don't mind me reaching out to you every now and then, I'd be more than grateful and would compensate you for your efforts when applicable. I want this project to really make a difference in the world, and I'm grateful for any help I can get.

I look forward to keeping you updated in the future. Thank you for following the development of SyriaSwap!
