OVERVIEW:
According to a well-known leaker, Ice Universe, we have some key details about the iPhone 17 lineup that’s set to launch in 2025. Apple is shaking things up by discontinuing the "Plus" model and introducing an all-new high-end model called the iPhone 17 "Slim." Let’s break down what we know so far.
DISPLAY UPGRADES:
One of the biggest changes is that all four models in the iPhone 17 lineup will feature LTPO displays. This technology enables ProMotion, which means we’ll get a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz on all models. Previously, this was exclusive to the Pro models, so it’s a big deal that Apple is bringing this to a lower-cost device.
MODEL DETAILS & PRICING
Now, let’s talk about the models and their specs:
- iPhone 17: It’s going to have a 6.27-inch LTPO display and will be priced at $799.
- iPhone 17 Pro: This model also features a 6.27-inch LTPO display but comes with more advanced specs and a price tag of $1,099.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: The Pro Max will have a larger 6.86-inch LTPO display and will be priced at $1,199.
- iPhone 17 "Slim": This new addition to the lineup will have a 6.65-inch LTPO display and will be the most expensive iPhone ever, at $1,299.
HIGH-END MODEL – IPHONE 17 "SLIM"
Speaking of the iPhone 17 "Slim," it’s set to become the new flagship model. With a 6.65-inch display, it slots right between the Pro and Pro Max in terms of size. However, there’s some debate over its specs. It’s rumored to feature an A19 chip, a dual rear camera system, an aluminum chassis, and 8GB of memory. But it’s unclear if these specs are final, especially considering it’s supposed to be the high-end model.
PRO MODELS
The Pro models are also seeing some significant upgrades. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will come with 12GB of memory, a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system, and the new A19 Pro chip, which is made using TSMC's N3P process. This is a step up from the expected A18 chip across the iPhone 16 lineup.
RELEASE DATE:
