This might very well be a "me problem," But I still want to tell you about why having just USDC(op) as a withdrawal option is not enough. Simply put, to move USDC(op), you also need Ethereum. Without Ethereum you can't do nothing with USDC. So when an everyday person like me using a blogging platform to make some pocket money, you can't expect me to purchase another currency just to move the currency I earn here. It's expensive and most of us don't want to spend money on that. Because of that, I suggest that publish0x re-enable Ethereum withdrawals. You don't have to spend gas fees out of your pocket. Let us accumulate enough to cover our own gas fees and withdraw some Ethereum too. So we have some wiggle room to use USDC. (or can we just use eth(op) so fees are way lower) Anyhow, enable at least Ethereum withdrawals over the Optimism network.
You see, first we withdraw 5$ worth of Ethereum to our Optimism wallet. Now we have Ethereum to cover our USDC(op) gas fees. Because of that, now we can set a target amount to earn before withdrawing as USDC. say 10$. You don't have to let that accumulate in the publish0x account. Withdraw as soon as possible using USDC. however when using the Ethereum, we withdrew first, use caution and be smart so you can move a huge sum at once with low fees, not the vise versa.
So my proposition is to give us the chance to withdraw with both USDC and Ethereum. We should cover our gas fees when it comes to Ethereum withdrawals. Just an idea, though. What do you think? Also, any expert is very welcome to correct me if I am wrong, because obviously I'm not an expert.(Is this even doable- using Eth(op) for gas fees or do I need native Eth in my wallet?) Looking forward to your opinions. Leave them in the comments down below.
