Identifying online scams (especially crypto related)

I think you all have seen websites like bitcoin doublers, crypto mining sites, and free airdrops. even though few of them can be legit, most of them are fake scamming websites. So in this post I will be discussing a few tips that can help you to never fall into those traps.

So, let's start with mining and currency doubling sites. In those kinds of sites, they give you a time period after you invest your money to get the profit. so in that situation, you will see that most of those sites promise you huge profits in a short period of time. for example, the site says ''if you invest 10 dollars you will get a profit of 100 dollars in 24 hours''. well, my friends, that is indeed a scam site. so stay away from those websites offering you profits that are too good to be true.

And guys, these doubling and mining sites can do this also. those websites start at a time that bitcoins price is low. they give away hash power for free and if you upgrade your plan you can increase your hash power. also, they start to do payouts in the beginning. so many people promote that site and they get more users. users get profits. all people happy.

BUT,

what happens when the bitcoin price started to increase?

They delay payouts and start offering you new plans. so you think '' they did payouts in the past and why won't they do it again'' and you invest more. and the next day you can't even log in to your account. and after a few more days, no one can even find that mining site. they scam all member's money and put the website offline.

Now, what can you do?

Can you go to the police or some law enforcement agency and tell them to help you?

Yes. You can. but I don't think even they can help you because nobody knows the real info about that website admins.
(but guys it's good if you complain about that. who knows if police can find that scammers)

so my guys, if you are going to invest in those kinds of websites do it at your own risk. Be smart, not greedy. let yourself know when to stop. so do your own research on that website you are going to invest in.

and here are some general tips that can help you to identify scam sites

1.Scam sites don't have active social media accounts.
Most sites that trying to scam people do not have social media accounts. if they do have them, they are not active.

2. Don't have contact details.
If a site does not have contact details like an email or messenger link or telegram link, etc. it's more like to be another scam.
so it's good to stay away from them.

3.They never reply to your emails that you send to their support.
But in some cases, those sites can have a support email like in legit sites. so send an email asking for something. maybe for a proof of payment. if they never reply to you, well you know why is that. And it's good to remember that the support team may get some time to respond to you because they get hundreds of emails a day. so you need to be patient.

4.Scammers can't provide legit payment proofs.
If a site is legit they can provide you payment proofs whenever you ask. but do not rely on that because these days anyone can make a list of fake payment proof. so you must search on the internet for payment proofs of that site you trying to invest in. or you can ask your friends about it. maybe your favorite YouTuber, blogger can have a video or post about that site. so make sure to check payment proofs from trusted platforms or from trusted people.

5.Check the domain's registration date to see if the day they say they started their site is true or not.

I don't say every investing site is fake and trying to scam people. there can be legit platforms that you can use. but make sure to do proper research before you put your money on an unknown website.

That's it, guys. I think you got some knowledge from my post.
