Exe.io is a URL shortening website and they claim you can make money with it. I tried to use their service to make some money when I ran my YouTube channel a few years ago. And I was able to make some money but never tried to withdraw. Recently I needed some money and I remembered my account on the exe.io website. So I logged into my account and I saw I had 16$ in my account. I was very happy to see that. Then I requested a withdrawal via Bitcoin and the website said the next payment day is next Wednesday. So I waited hoping I would receive my money.
But to my surprise, they sent me an email saying the payment got canceled because they thought it was against their terms of service and they asked me to send specific details about how my traffic is generated.

I'm like what? Shouldn't you be able to check that? you should have a record of the traffic. But I typed an email saying that "it was generated a few years back from a YouTube channel I ran" and clicked send. Inconveniently the email they used was a "no-reply" email address. Maybe it was generated by a bot. So I had to manually go to their website and submit a ticket there to give them "specific details" about how my traffic was generated. So I did it on the 6th of June but still no reply from them.
So did they scam me?
As the reader, you should decide that. Also, I went to the trust pilot website and some people had the same issue of "specific details" too. So it's not just for me. Is this a tactic they use to receive free traffic? I have so many questions and I'm so sad because exe.io refused to pay my hard-earned cash.
Anyway thanks for reading and I would love to hear your thoughts about this situation. please leave them in the comments down below. That being said that's it for this article and I will see you in my next article.
