Do You Own A Faceless YouTube Channel Or Automated Multiple Channels?

You probably have seen the new update to YouTube monetization policy, where they are trying to demonetize AI slop, mass-produced, inauthentic, unoriginal Reupload channels. I mean, on one hand, it is a good decision. But on the other hand, this can affect real people who do everything correctly. But sadly, they fall into the mass-producing category because they use other people's videos(compilation channels). Not every channel in this group is bad. It's just very hard and time-consuming to filter the legit ones. Also, I don't think all AI channels will get demonetized. because at the end of the anything that brings money brings money. That's good for the company. Just saying.

Nowadays, I'm pretty sure, by using AI, you can auto-pilot a compilation channel without paying for editors and stuff. Also, you can generate animated scenes within minutes that traditionally could've taken years to create. So, creating a few animated shorts a day and having a channel is a piece of cake.

So my point is, people are using AI to take unfair monetary gains. I know life is unfair. That's beside the point. All I'm saying is one day, advertisers are gonna realize they are wasting money on worthless videos and will start to look elsewhere for promoting their businesses. Let's be real, most of us are not gonna watch realistic-looking AI-created videos once we realize the channel is full of AI. Why? You may ask. First thing is that what you are watching is fake. artificial. You can't really have a bond or an emotional connection with those artificially generated characters. All those videos do is make us angry when we realize we got fooled.

It's called "YOUtube" for a reason. It's about you. You share your real life. not some artificially generated media. That's how you become authentic. That's how you become original. It's a platform to connect with people. showcase yourself, your hobbies, and your expertise. At least that's what it used to be. Now, people have made it into a money-making machine. Everybody likes money. I get it. The problem is how you make money. BY using AI to not only generate content but to completely run your channel, that's so wrong. You can call it passive income or whatever, the thing is, it's unfair to other people who do it the traditional way. Now you may say, Tell them to start using AI too. Well, that's a nice way to level the playing field, but in the end, we're gonna lose this platform. We're gonna lose one of the main principles of the YouTube platform. That is originality and authenticity. Also, people have real people working on the back end of the video production. You are taking away their jobs when you overuse AI.

If you like watching AI-generated content, it's up to you. I'm not gonna judge you. My proposition for those AI-generated channels is to make it clear in the title that the video was AI-generated. Put it at the beginning of the title. That way, we can see, especially advertisers can see, how those videos perform. Then they can decide whether they are going to put ads on that content or not. Also, YouTube should add an option to opt-out from receiving AI-generated content.

Stepping away from AI, let's talk about reaction channels and compilation channels. Unless you provide added value to those compilations and videos you react, I believe you should not be able to monetize. Why? Because you are stealing other people's videos. That's why. So now you may ask how to provide added value? You can do it by adding informative or comedic commentary. Constructive criticism is also a good way. But be careful, not everybody likes criticism.

Adding your face doing questionable expressions or showing you watching other people's videos is not adding value to the community. That's outright content theft for monetary gain using the grey areas of YouTube policies. You should be ashamed of yourself for doing that. I'm 100% agreeing to not letting those channels monetize. If you really think people watch your videos because of you are in it, then try uploading just yourself doing those weird, questionable expressions. People watch those videos because you use eye-catching thumbnails and clickbait titles. They want to watch the original video, not your reaction. So, stop wasting storage spaces and creating duplicate videos. Let the original creators have what they deserve. If you really want to be a YouTuber, then do your own stuff. other wise look for a job you actually can do that is both leagle and ethical.
