The Helium Network now has a plan to bring more large companies into the crypto space. Dubbed 1663 the plan will deliver complete end to end solutions to help large-scale enterprises develop and deploy projects and products built around the Helium network. The name 1663 pays tribute to the workspace where the Nova Labs founders first started on their mission.
Amir Haleem, Nova Labs CEO and Helium co-founder, described 1663 as a necessary next step for the backers of an open-source network that has grown in scale over the last two years, but still presents challenges for adoption by established companies that may doubt its effectiveness or its token-based model.
With more than $1.1 billion predicted to be spent on IoT technology worldwide in 2023, our mission is as essential today as it was the day we started in that office,” said Amir Haleem, CEO of Nova Labs. “I can’t think of a better time to launch this new arm of Nova Labs.”
As a member of the Helium community, Nova Labs has worked with multiple partners on applications and integrations that use the Helium Network and has supported successful IoT device use cases with companies including Mimiq and NanoThings. Now with a growing community of members, developers, and partner companies Nova Labs plans to accelerate network usage by assisting onboarding enterprises to the Helium ecosystem.
1663 will assist partners with the following solutions :
- Project planning: 1663 will work with large scale companies to define goals and timelines for projects regardless of the size of the project or the difficulty.
- Hardware sourcing: 1663 will ensure the best cost effective hardware is delivered and deployed in a time sensitive and efficient manner.
- Network onboarding: 1663 will identify leading LoRaWAN Network Server providers to onboard devices to the Helium Network.
- Customized dashboards: 1663 will offer customized dashboards, providing companies with a clear picture to help understand the complexities of their data.
- Building integrations: To bridge the gap between data and system application, 1663 will facilitate custom integrations based on customers needs.
- Continuous support: 1663 will offer continuous ongoing support to make sure that solutions and deployments operate as expected.
It could be many more years before Helium has enough adoption to support its token-driven infrastructure at a mass scale. Helium handled nearly 1.5 billion packets of data in January 2023 up more than 10 times from about 121 million data packets handled in September 2022. Hopefully 1663 will help Helium gain even more traction.
