Here are a few remixes and mashups of songs, both modern as well as some from the 70s and 80s.
One very talented artist, Matt Pop has an amazing skill to take some iconic songs, breathe new life into them losing little of the original sound. He can make dramatic changes to them and in some cases even create something BETTER than the original, NOT that it's a replacement though (nothing replaces the original).
Here's a Matt Pop remix of the song Tarzan Boy by Baltimora (I love the visualizer on this!)
I've heard it said that the song Stayin' Alive by the BeeGees has been used as the seed to create many other songs. At a minimum, it sure makes a great mashup with Hot in Herre ... a bit surprising, but it works.
A Lobsterdust mashup of Stayin' Alive by The BeeGees and Hot in Herre by Nelly
So who hasn't heard Don't Stop Believing? Well, Lady Gaga adds a twist it on this one:
Just Stop Believing mashup of Journey and Lady Gaga by DJ Tripp
This one is a rather amazing remix of 50 popular songs from 2009.
Blame It On The Pop mashup by DJ Earworm
... and let's finish it up with Beyonce and Sia - (Chandelier is already a modern classic, IMO)
Chandelier XO mashup of Beyonce and Sia
Have fun folks
