I believe we're currently experiencing some of the fallout of an ideological "reality check". It could be viewed in many ways with political, spiritual, economic and social aspects. It appears, similar to the break up, or breakdown, of Soviet Russia in the 80s that many governments and institutions are experiencing stress in attempting to maintain systems that are fundamentally unsustainable in the long run.
Here's a YouTube news channel "Eye Opener" that might be interesting to some https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ46mS6he_o0MvUr2gX0RPw
There's so much back and forth, he said she said, arguments and finger pointing that I don't think there's much of chance of people coming to widespread agreement of what the solution should be, so what to do?
Here's my view - nature/God/the universe will ultimately sort it out - Rome fell because it relied upon predatory means to continually spread, until it had nowhere else to go and it imploded. This will likely happen to many nations and global institutions - though as levels of desperation grow, there could be some flailing and aggressive actions. It could be a good idea for people in communities, or families, friends, churches and local businesses etc. to come together more and find ways of defending their values potentially both physical as well as ideological/cultural.
Another suggestion could be to look at your life, including what you do to "make ends meet" and see how much benefit comes from this. Try to keep your time and energy supportive of those things that you desire and attempt to avoid letting much of that go in support of aspects you don't desire. Ultimately, money is just a tool and not very important when it comes down to brass tacks.
On one hand, I'd enjoy not worrying about much of any of this stuff, but on the other hand it seems a good idea to keep an eye open and watch more closely whats going on. Even though some of it's a confusing mess, I don't have to sort through all that - just the stuff "close to home". I DO know generally what the winning team is like though ;)
Just some ideas to consider.
