Smart contracts on Bitcoin blockchain

We know smart contracts are a great way to exclude third parties from the transaction and reduce transaction prices as they don't need validation. They are implemented in many cryptocurrencies to control digital currency transfers, establishing governance and many other things.

Programmer Pieter Wuille announced on his twitter a new programming language designed specifically for the use of smart contracts in the Bitcoin blockchain.

The new tool was only published after "all security tests were performed," he says.

Posted on Monday to the Bitcoins developer mailing list, the "Miniscript" language aims to make it easier for programmers to write "smart contracts" or conditions for spending Bitcoins.

The new programming is new when it comes to digital money, since before Bitcoin it was impossible to implement such rules without relying on a bank or intermediary.

Creating a language that is easier to implement smart contracts will bring to Bitcoin innovations as it brought to the Ethereum network.

We can expect news ahead.
