Uefa Will Decide on the Participation of Milan in the Europa League on July 5

By barbadosso | Sportz | 26 Jun 2019

On the first Friday of July, it will be known whether Milan will miss the Euroseason-2019/20 - reports Sport Mediaset.

In connection with Milan’s violations of financial fair play rules it can be resolved in two ways.

In the first case, Milan ranked fifth in Serie A and receiving the right to play in the Europa League group tour, will have to pay 12 million euros in fines and compete in the tournament with an application list reduced to 21 players. In addition, Milan will be obliged by 2021 to achieve break-even club.

The second option proposed by Milan is that the club will not participate in the current draw of the Europa League so as not to pay a fine, postpone the break-even requirement for a year and avoid a possible suspension from the European cups in the 2020/21 season.

If Milan will not participate in the season 2019/20, Roma will enter the Europa League group round, and Torino, who ranked seventh in Serie A, will start from the second qualifying round of the tournament.
