Midfielder Genk may become an Atalanta player in the near future, the website of journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports.

The Italian club are negotiating with the leadership of Genk, and the Belgian club agreed to abandon the 20 million euros, which he initially demanded for the midfielder. Now Atalanta can sign a Ukrainian for about 15 million euros, including bonuses.

Earlier it was reported that Sampdoria also joined in the fight for Malinovsky.

Last season, the 26-year-old played 51 matches for Genk, scoring 16 goals and having 16 assists.
