When you ask most people whose the greatest QB of all time in the NFL many will say Tom Brady. However, I beg to differ and here's why. Let's start with the first two Superbowl's won by the Patriots. Those teams were driven by the defense mainly and especially in those Superbowl's. Brady had average games overall, but he did lead game winning drives so I'll give em' credit for those drives. Fastforward to the multiple scandal's that involved the Patriots cheating in some shape, form, or fashion and not only being accused, but actually being caught and punished for those acts. Most people are quick to say it was all on head coach Bill Belicic, but Brady gets no share of the blame? So you mean to tell me that Brady benefited in no way at any point from the multiple scandals? Those of you who say he didn't cheat are saying that he in no way ever had a heads up on the opponents defensive plays and schemes when the Patriots were recording other teams and stealing playbooks? I've rarely heard sportscasters challenge the notion that Brady knew absolutely nothing nor used any of it to his advantage. Four of those 6 Superbowl's should have an asterisks by them because of the circumstances surrounding the team at that time. I've always made this point about G.O.A.T status whenever the convo comes up........Joe Montana is undefeated in SB's just as Jordan is undefeated in NBA Finals so if Lebron who's went to the Finals 8 yrs in a row and won 3 isn't better because Jordan is undefeated then how can Brady who's been to 9 SB's and won 6 is better than an undefeated Joe Montana in SB's? No cheating scandals, no ball deflation, etc. for Montana in his career at all. Yes Tom Brady has had a great career, but I don't think he's even better than Peyton Manning who won 2 SB's with 2 different teams, 4 different head coaches, and 3 different playbooks. You can't mention Patriots and Belicic cheating and leave Brady out of the conversation so for that alone in my book, he can't seriously be looked at as the G.O.A.T without an asterisk and questionmark next to it. If he fails in Tampa Bay, I'm sure the first excuse everyone will try to use is "Oh, he's old. What do you expect?". Sorry not sorry, but I'm not buying it because I only wonder was he that good because he's really that good or did he have an advantage due to the cheating for all those years with the Patriots? Just gonna wait and see is all until the season starts.
